Default Fun activities for our 7 and 9 year old grandchildren?

Our grandchildren are visiting in a few days for a week vacation.
What are some fun things to do?

Took ours to Wild Bills Airboat ride. Great time. Just outside Wildwood. Got to hold baby gators. Go early to avoid rain.

Number one on the list is riding around in the golf cart, especially going over the golf cart bridge across 441 (tv's version of a roller coaster for kids). The pools are fun. If someone has any tickets for Camp Villages, grab them. Uncle Donald's Farm is a nice petting zoo. Lady Lake has a very nice park by the library. And, of course, there's Disney, Universal and all the other typical tourist destinations. Your grandkids are the perfect age to enjoy things in TV itself. Have no fear, they'll have a blast unless terribly jaded.

Try the State Park in Homosassa to see the Manatees, Hippo and Gators and all the other local Florida wildlife. Fun boat ride from the visitors center to the park. It's about an hour away, straight out 44 to US 19.

Next summer plan ahead for Camp Villages. Get your tickets on the first day they are offered on line. Brochures are available on line in advance. We have been doing it for 3 years now and our now 6 and 8 year olds love it. The Rec department does a fantastic job!!!

They will probably enjoy coloring books and crayons. Water colors. Making cookies with you. Painting the driveway with old brushes and water. Making a scrap book to take home with pictures of their parent when they were young and you will enjoy telling them about the pictures. Going to buy a book and you reading it to them. Dressing up. Spending their five dollars at the Dollar Store.

Default Boat Rides

There are many places around that offer boat rides. We took ours to Winter Park and they liked the boat ride there.
