Talking Frozen Hamburger Patties

I was never a big fan of frozen hamburgers 'til moving here. Seemingly, the quality has increased multi-fold and they're just so damned convenient. The various supermarkets seem to carry a wide variety of boxed burger brands with some difference in price, but not much.

So ---- what's your favorite brand of boxed hamburgers? why is it better than the others?

Hi Munc,

Our neighbors next door grilled some from Publix this week - they were chuck and pretty good.

However, my hubs came up with a great idea for our 4th of July BBQ. He bought ground meat from Publix and slider buns. I then made them into little burgers - they were really yummy.... and there was still room for our standard 4th dessert - whoopie pies

I've used Bubba Burgers several times too. They get great reviews from our guests. They are just about the right size and easy to use as KayakerNC said.

Bubba are the best! If it has to be frozen.
BUT..if you want a really good burger go to Sweet Cream in Spanish Spring.

I tried the bubba ones, but I have switched to the sams burgers. They have them at wal-mart. You get 4 big 1/2 pund patties. they are big and very good. If your hungry, let them thaw, cook up some red onions and hot sausage. put ontop of a patty, add some blue cheese, put the other patty on top of that. cook on each side for 5 min. then put into the oven for 15 min on 375. cover with hot sauce and pepper jack cheese. Oh my goodness that is good. almost like getting the Big Burger from Beef O Brady's.

Sams 1/2 pound patties get my vote.

Babba is my favorite. Just take out what you need and leave the rest frozen.

My very first exposure to non-restaurant, home-cooked food here in Central Florida was a feast of Bubba Burgers.

Of course, I thought it was some "southern thing," or "redneck thing," but they were gooooooooooood eating!

On the other hand, I still prefer to make my own using the best from Publix!
