Question Fireworks in TV on 4th of July

Are there fireworks in TV for July 4th? What can villagers expect to celebrate this holiday?

No official fireworks in TV.
The squares will have some extra entertainment & decorations.

Surrounding communities have displays (Leesburg, Ocala, etc.)

The lack of fireworks has disappointed many for years. But, there are reasonable rationales for their absence, the most important of which is safety. When the "obvious" locale to set off a display is Lake Sumter itself, it doesn't take a wizard to realize the fire hazard should something go awry.

Of course, there's also the cost. In the last couple of years, many local municipalities have given up their public +/- $100,000 displays!

Still, there remain many small, often private, shows. Find high ground (the circle at Morse and Bonita Blvds comes to mind) and scan the horizon. You won't hear any booms, but you might see lots of pretty lights.

Sanford has a great fireworks display, over the lake. Food, beer vendor booths, etc if you want a traditional fair-like atmosphere for 4th of July. It's definitely worth the drive.

Not sure what the displays are like in Ocala and Leesburg, they may be great, too.

During the past two years or longer, Mark Morse (of The Villages) has lit up the skies at the Morse Family Lake Weir Party House on Lake Weir for 30-45 minuets of uninterrupted fireworks.. People from all over the lake come by water and car to see the spectacular display of choreographed fireworks performed by professioanls pyrotechnicians, including music. Yes, all of Lake Weir residents get to see it, but no one invites people from The Villages. Why can't these fireworks be done over Lake Sumter? Maybe we all need to get boats and visit this year!

I was disappointed last year not to be able to go to a fireworks display but there was enough going on to keep me busy enough that it was not that big of a deal.
