Default Evolution Classic Pro 4 feedback?

We’re considering to purchase the above golf cart, with 48v 205AH lithium batteries. Requesting your experienced feedback before pulling the trigger on it. Thanks!

What's the Classic Pro 4? Is that like the Classic 4 Plus? We're also strongly considering an Evolution and test drove one, so interested in this thread.

I bought a new two seat Evolution in September of 2001. I like the cart well enough, but the fit/finish is not at the level of the E-Z-Go electric carts. Mine has the 48V 180 battery, and it will go about 50 miles on a charge, I'm told. I would think yours would do that as well.

I like the look of the cart, the 14 inch wheels and low profile tires make it look sportier than the 10 inch fat tires on other carts. However, the ride is rougher. So I would make sure you test drive your cart well and over bumps before you pull the trigger. Test drive some of the carts at Villages Golf Carts for comparison.

You didn't say where you are purchasing your cart from, but we got ours from Villages Discount Golf Carts. Our cart had to go into the shop a few times. They do not have a loaner program. Also, unless their policy has changed, they set the top speed at 20 mph. That is the code in Florida, but other carts will pass you constantly, especially gas, but the electric EZ-Go as well. My friend bought one brand new from the Villages Golf Carts, and it does 22 - 23 mph.

Good luck!

My EZ GO Elite goes 21 and sometimes 22 for a few seconds. I pass some carts and some carts pass me. When considering carts I felt that a proven brand that has been around for over 50 years was preferable to something that is innovative. I bought my cart from Villages Golf Carts and like the idea that I can take it to one of their service centers and get a loaner.
This works for me and is only my opinion.

No disagreement here. The reason we went with the Evolution at the time was it was going to take six months back in 2021 to get a cart from them, and we wanted electric. The cart was in the shop three times as the battery was discharging too quickly. During the last visit, we were given an entirely new battery, under warranty. So far, so good.

When it comes out of warranty, I intend to contact someone that can remove the governed 20 MPH. My understanding is that these come from the factory at 25 mph, and can even be set higher. Not that I'm looking to speed, just move a little quicker on the straightaways, and not be "that guy" that is always leading the golf cart parade.

Have a 2021 and it is very rough. Overall I like the cart but my wife does not like it because of the bumpy ride. There is a guy who has a system to soften the ride. Looks like it replaces the front spring and shock assembly and lowers the rear leaf springs.

I spoke with a guy at a golf course and he removed one of the rear leaves
Still trying to find someone who has this system

I've seen that as well, on the Evolution group Facebook page. There was a post that recommended these shocks - Mallofusa 11 Inch 280mm Pair Motorcycle Shock Absorber Rear Suspension. I got them and installed them on my cart front shocks. It's not hard to do if you have the proper wrenches. I did need to compress one shock slightly to get the holes to line up.

It does make a difference in the ride. But its a golf cart, not a Buick, so just need to remember that.

I haven't done anything to the rear, that doesn't bother me as much. On the same Facebook page group I've read about people removing the shocks entirely and just riding on the springs. Maybe at some point I'll try that, but the ride doesn't bother me that much to go to all that work.
