Hi -
I just had my garage floor epoxy’d last week. I am on day seven of allowing it to dry/set/cure. Question, should I still use garage mats under my car and golf cart? Thanks for you replies.

I wouldn't. Why did you epoxy the floor if you still need floor mats?

We still use a floor mat under the classic car, that on occasion will leak oil. It’s just an easier clean up. Under our gas golf cart, no. I do know some who have old electric that they still use mat under that cart. Not sure why

If you got'm, use'm.
If you don't got'm, don't buy'm. ![]()

People often use mats because it is easier on the tires.

We bought the mats. We heard that in summer, very hot tires can damage the epoxy floor. We got two strip mats from Walmarts for the car and a rectangular mat for the golf cart.

Depending on hot tires and chemicals that leach into the epoxy surface. There may be brown tire marks.
I have a outdoor rug I got from a big box to protect the floor. |
