Default Electric vehicle garage charger

Can anyone steer me in the right direction about installing a 50 amp charging station in my garage for an electric vehicle (not a golf car). I’m looking to install a level 2 charging station in my garage for a faster charge on my car than the 110 volt charger cable that came with the car. Can anyone recommend a charger brand that they have had success with charging their car and possibly recommend an installer. Thanks

I had a NEMA 14/50 plug installed for my TESLA from Galaxy. Easy- right off breaker box.

What kind of EV? I have a 2018 Volt. The OEM charger works on both 110 volts (12 hrs to full charge) or 220 volts (4.5 hrs to full charge). I can buy a if adapter and use my electric clothes dryer outlet if I care to.

Battery charging. Changing from 110v charger to a faster 220v faster is not always better.
On the slower charger the battery will take more charges over it's life.

So when you buy a EV does it come with a choice of chargers or do you take the one that they give you? Does the dealer have options for an upgrade? Just curious even though I will not own one until they have one that can go 20 hours on a charge, 1200+ miles.
