Default Electric Golf Cart Motor Rebuild

Have a 2010 Tomberlin Emerge. Appears I have a bad motor. Looking for any local repair shops to rebuild the motor?

I had a similar problem with a 2003 Electric Club Car. None of the local cart repair companies or mobile companies could assist. But I did get a recommendation for Mandos Golf Carts in Tavares. They ended up putting in a rebuilt motor. They also handled pickup and return. This was 3 years ago. Excellent work, cart runs great. They have a website.

Are you sure it is the motor, I recently helped another neighbor with a similar 'it won't go' situation and it was the controller, the motor was fine, controller was almost $1000.

On a side not this same cart had 2 other problems associated with the wiring and with the accelerator position sensor that also caused a will not run condition.

What you probably want, is a company that rebuilds electrical motors, for commercial/industrial uses. There are plenty of them out there. I doubt you'll find a "golf cart store" who does such work, it's a specialty. A golf cart store would likely send it one of the commercial rebuilding companies.

I don't know anything about the ones mentioned in the attached. I do know there's an Electric Motor Rebuilder in Tavares, also.

Try Charles on Charge (352-431-3474). I know he repairs Par Cars and may work on Tomberlins. He has worked on our Par Cars for several years. We have found him to be quite good and fair.
