They have zero reviews online and are not BBB accredited. I would stay away from any business with these red flags - that's just too much money to take a chance.

Three pool companies I completely trust in this area are Premier Pools of Central Florida, Waterman Construction, and T&D pools. Of these 3, T&D has the most pools in the area, but they are also the most expensive by quite a bit and will have the longest lead time and total pool build time.

I have a list of things to look for with any pool builder if you're interested. I've owned a pool for the last 40 years, and have had 3 installed. I'm an engineer, so I do a lot of research every time I make any type of purchase (big or small)

The company is also known as W Scott Electric owned by Scott Bowen. It is located in Umatilla. They have an electrical contractor license and a certified pool contractor license.

Their website was just registered on 19 March 2023, so if not a new company then a totally new rebranding of an existing company.

Also noteworthy is they only work "in The Villages"...yet is a new company who is refusing to work in the surrounding community. That is telling.

I would stay away. The homeowner is assuming a lot of risk with an unknown and unproven company when there are several good and one great (in my opinion) options already serving TV.

I personally would stay away -

BUT, if you are a good negotiator, could act as de facto project manager - you might be able ot get a GREAT deal, if they are trying to get aa foothold in the pool market. Make sure the contract is friendly toward you, with penalties for missed milestones, etc.

At what point in time was T &D owned by The Villages?

Sorry, my statement on ownership is incorrect. T&D is the installer of all pools for The Villages on new homes. Due to this, they grew very quickly in size and are the largest pool builder in the area.

The advantage they have is that every aspect of the pool build is fully in their control - there are no partners or sub-contractors.

The disadvantage is that because they are so large and well respected, they are back logged quite a bit and their prices are inflated compared to other pool builders. At least they were (by a lot) when I got my estimate about 4 years ago.
