Default Document shredding When? where?

We just moved and are swamped w old documents we had no time to shred at home.
In Atlanta, Staples shredded many papers for us at .80 cents a pound.

Does The Villages have any free shredding event?
If so,
When and where?

Thanks in advance!

There are typically several "free" shredding events each year in or around TV. Last May, the Lady Lake Police held a Shred-A-Thon at Spanish Springs behind the bowling alley; each year at Government Day there is often a shredder available to the public (but not always); and once or twice a year one of the pet adoption agencies (I forget which one) offers shredding as part of their fund raising - donations are appreciated and you can adopt a pet at the same time. There are several places that will also shred on a $$ per pound basis in and around The Villages - the Buffalo Ridge Pack-N Ship being one that comes to mind but I do not know their per pound cost. It is best to just keep an eye on The Daily Sun and you'll see something sooner or later on a shredding event.
