Default Custom Closet Design Ideas for Lantana-Ivy-Laurel Oak Models Master

We are interested in maximizing our master bedroom closet storage in our new Lantana Designer Home. This closet is not rectangular and has some interesting angles. (The closet is virtually the same in the Ivy, Laurel Oak and perhaps other Designer Home models.) We prefer a design that utilizes all the space, including height. If you have had a custom closet built in your Lantana, Ivy, or Laurel Oak master bedroom, would you share the design and photos with us? Is there anything you would change (after the fact) if you could do it again? Suggestions and comments here are welcome!

We are also interested in your recommendation for closet designer/closet installer. Thanks for sharing!

Call Busby..highly recommended on TOTV 352-259-3330

Tell Bus "Havana" recommended him.

He has been doing Closet designs for more than 40 years and the best price around. No odvertising ...all word of mouth from satisfied customers

I should have mentioned that we are currently renting our home out but plan to be residents within the year.

Thanks Bob. We will call you the next time we are in The Villages to take a look. We appreciate your offer. Thanks as well to the others who contributed. We will also give Busby a call.

In the meantime, we would love it if anyone wants to show off photos or share plans of their custom master bedroom closet!

Moving into a Laurel Oak and wondering the same thing. I have a call in to several of the people you have mentioned for estimates. I'm curious what "Waverunner" ended up doing? Any pictures?

Beth - we are still six months out from moving into our house. We are still looking at options. What have you found in your research?

Thanks!

When I started renting our brand new home (an Iris) in 2012, the prospective renters wanted a custom master closet. They had used Create More Space before and recommended them.

The closet design was done by email as Mom and I were already back in Michigan. I love tinkering with floor plans and designs and had already designed several closets in our Michigan home -- including Mom's master closet.

I told their rep what I wanted in the closet -- basically, a side for each person with lots of space for shoes! Our closet goes to about a foot from the ceiling which is great for suitcases or seldom used items. I also wanted a clothes rod to put out clothes for the next day. The rep emailed me the drafts and I tweaked them with my ideas and emailed them back to them. I signed off on the final design by email. I can't remember if they emailed me photos of the finished product or if the photos were sent by my property manager.

I wasn't disappointed when I finally got to see the closet. Its beautiful. I can't wait to do the other closets in our home.

BTW, because I rent out our home as a long term rental, I could put the closet on my taxes as a rental expense. My tax person pro-rates the closet over a seven year period. So, its a win for both the renters and for me. And, the closet will be there for me when I finally get to move to TV.

Another vote for BUSBY. He did ours last week. Great job. Did all three bedroom closets. In and out in about 4 hours.

Busby utilized all the space in our Ivy master closet.
He does the design and does a wonderful job.
