Default Credit card charge

Has anyone else gotten a credit card charge from Rapida LLC? We received a charge from them for $10.67. I've never heard of them, looked them up and from what I can tell it does not look legit. Called our credit card company; we could cancel our card, but what an ordeal to change all our online payments (and receive another card in 7 days). Any thoughts? Thanks.

Probably a test charge.

Freeze you card at a minimum. Test charges are often lower in the hope you don’t notice it. Anything Russian is a red flag. Even had a charity do a dollar test charge. Err on side of caution

No real help, but I would suggest you do not use auto-pay and that you have a cc for on-line only and a different one for everyday.

I've gotten a few since Jan 1st. Russian? or unless anyone know what this is:
Smhutscxvtp Oukob $2.65

The best news.. I didn't have to do anything as I have an apple card. The apple mastercard itself has no numbers on it and changing a card number is a mouse click - no need for a new card. In addition the 3 digit code on the back(which isn't printed on the physical card anyway) is rolling (changes often) so even if they have your number...will be hard to get the rolling 3 digit code.

it's pretty obvious that's a fraudulent charge, there is no such company and it definitely looks made up. Second point is they don't always need the 3 digit code.

Last point - all card information is stored on the phone, there is always a card number, exp date and code. just because you can change it doesn't mean it can't be stolen please don't be that foolish.

Default Turn on card security option to be notified for all trans w/o the physical card.

A good protection option is to active the card security option to automatically be notified (by text) if your card is used for an online transaction.

That way you can lock the card immediately if used by a scammer.

Make sure you are aware of all online transactions you or your spouse makes so you don’t lock the card unnecessarily…

No question it will be stolen-- the future waits for nobody.
My only point is I don't need to wait for a new card.

This is all new to me. Why would your bank be affiliated with a Russian bank? Never heard of this. Are you sure you didn’t get your personal information broken into? This is interesting!

A few years ago, B of A called me and asked if I had just charged $965 at the airport in Dubai. I had not, so they disputed the charge and then sent me a new card.

Report immediately. It is probably a test charge. If it goes thru you may get a bigger charge next.

Have your bank or cc text you for any transaction over $1. You won't have to wait to spot a fraudulent charge.
