Think the charge is actually $ 60.

We pay about that much for Sams and think we easily get good value for it

Well, maybe I’d I was feeding family of 10?

Where I come from if I laid down the cash I’d be considered their pigeon.

Sam’s has considerably better prices than Winn Dixie, Publix, etc. Not to mention free shipping.

And unless you’ve been in Sams or Costco recently, you’d realize the ole wives tail of having to buy a 5 gallon container of ketchup is nonsense.

And based on the crowds at Sam’s I’d say there are a whole bunch of happy shoppers, just like me.

Evidently you missed some of the membership levels and their benefits.

We are a family of two that shop at Costco, Sam’s Club, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Winn-Dixie, and Publix.

Each has something worthwhile to buy, and even better, we purchase enough from Costco to get a dividend each year that more than covers the annual membership fee. As for Sam’s, we save enough on what we buy there to also cover the annual membership fee.

Easy peasy. Shop smarter, and no it doesn’t take much effort at all. Still have plenty of time to play golf, pickleball, partake in pool activities, and enjoy life and vacations.

We felt the same way but did it anyway. My wife had a trip to PA BOOKED and compared the Costco rate for a rental car anD the rate saved her $175.00 so more than paid. Plus that membership has protection if you don’t get enough cash back-in a year. So far they are paying me plus they have great peanuts

Prices are higher at Walmart, plus Sams does stock many different items, that you can’t get at Walmart. I shop online for Sams, Costco, Whole Foods.
Haven’t been in a Publix in years. A good app will tell you who has a better price, and you don’t have to think about it.

I have observed that shopping is a hobby for some seniors. Most have enough stuff, including food, that they wouldn’t need to leave their house for three months and they would be just fine. The big box stores are so big and items hard to find you do get a bit of exercise. Just for fun we will likely make a trip to Costco after it opens to see what all the excitement is about, besides, we have friends on US 27 about half way and she is one heck of a cook...

You'll know the pandemic is over when Costco starts handing out samples again!

Does it count if Sams gave out samples this past Saturday? They did put them in a tiny plastic container though.

We have a perfectly good Sam's Club here in The Villages.

We belonged to both back home.

Not really a nickles worth of difference.

The affiliation to one or the other is usually based in some political theory. That is silly to me.

Isn't that the fee for an executive membership?

That's what I have, since I purchase so much for my office...

I get a rebate check every year that more than covers that fee...
