I have accounts with Citizens, and they're okay. I also have accounts with Campus USA Credit Union and they are okay. I prefer credit unions.

I have used Bank of America for 40 years and love their fraud alert system, pay all my bills on line, they let me know when a bill is being paid, and call me if someone is trying to purchase unauthorized items in foreign states or countries

I agree. We've been with them for 25 years and they are great. Look up their history and see how well they are, and are, rated.

Being the curmudgeon that I am I will only use a bank that still has a significant physical presence and lots of ATM machines. I refuse to do my banking using an app on my phone. I have used Bank of America forever because of their extensive network throughout the country, but they are closing physical branches everywhere and bombarding me with their friggin app.

Citizens does most bank functions well. To me, its main attraction is the prevalence of ATMs nearly everywhere around The Villages. One problem I have had with them is trying to cash in loose coins. They apparently only allow commercial customers to use their coin counting machine. An individual customer has to wrap the coins, pre-counted in standard coin sleeves, before they will take them.

An example of WHY they are the worst would help...

I'll be checking Campus USA out in the near future
Right now I belong to Florida Credit Union, but have to drive to Ocala.
Campus USA would be a lot closer.

They are the worst. They have a captive audience being they are a “villages” entity. They operate in a very unorganized manner. Nice doesn’t mean efficient.

Truist because I had BBT . Also have PenFed due to them having great service over the phone and much lower credit card interest rates and my Capital One accounts savings credit card and checking. I also use PayPal . The great thing about America is as the land of opportunity you can choose one or more to have several accounts
