Is anyone familiar with the Village of Valle Verde?
It's located between Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing.

There's a premier pool home that might make a good winter getaway.
Only has two bedrooms.....but we could figure that out.

"No one behind, water view from the front" as it's advertised.

Does anyone know what is "behind".........it just looks like a grassy pasture...with a ranch fence. The "virtual tour" was nice; the slide show was just a few shots of the house.....which obviously has been newly remodeled.

Any plans to build a super Walmart or anything like that?

The location is Palermo Place. We've never looked at a two bedroom resale before nor a Premier......but today I just let the computer list whatever and that's what came up.

Just wondering what is out back, which now is just a pasture....or what might the plans be for that empty land??? Or, is there a good chance it might just stay open pasture land as it is shown?

Thanks in advance. Any input would be much appreciated.

We love in Mira Mesa which is across the road from Valle Verde. It is nice small village. There are no mature trees on the lots there. The field you are talking about is either owned by the farm on 466 or it is part of the park on rolling acres rd. nothing is developed on it. There are no plans to put in a super Walmart or any thing on that piece of land. It is close to shopping and the town square of Spanish springs. It is a cute house. I haved walked by there many times. Like the idea of a pool and you can't see it because it has a wall around it. The pool at Chula Vista can get crowded in the winter and the family pool isn't far away. I like this area not too busy on the roads to get to shopping and the grocery stores here are also not crowded as other threads state that in the newer areas they are. Go to google maps and put on the address and you can see what is around the house.

Oops forgot to add. Valle Verde is in lake county so no bonds or bond mantaince on your taxes. The only bad thing is that you can only get comcast or centry link for your cable companies.

Thank you kindly for the information. A smaller village would be nice as that's what we are used to in our neighborhood, plus being close to things. Makes it easier all around.

I really appreciate your quick response. We just dug out our map and see Rolling Acres Road, etc., etc. We did drive around that area on our first visit.......but it's been over a year since we were there.

The home has been nicely redone on the inside. Probably will not be there when we are ready to buy......but it's nice to know of a smaller village with some empty land behind it....or to the side of it.

If it was my decision alone to make, I'd buy one now.........but hubby wants to wait until we sell this house. He thinks there will be a zillion choices, which I realize there are.........but it might all be too overwhelming........so trying to narrow down some choices and areas.

I do value your input, especially since you've walked through that area.

I walked thru the home last week on an open house. The open wooded area makes for a nice private back yard for all the houses along the street. The home was built when one could customize almost anything so the floor plan and pool arrangement is quite unique to TV. Square footage is not as large as current premier models. The kitchen and bath basics are somewhat dated to the time the home was built.
The village itself is great, private and quiet, and relatively small. It even has its own large pond.
As for the wooded area, you have to research who owns it. As others who live on the borders of TV have found out, anything can happen to undeveloped property: gas stations, medical complexes, apartments, etc. Assume anything can and will be rezoned if it will bring in more tax dollers for the local city.

It appears that the 10 acres of mostly field immediately behind the house is owned by a ball and roller bearing manufacturer located in Danbury, CT.

Appreciate the information. It was that large open pasture with the ranch fence that I thought was nice , for privacy. The kitchen could be updated. Liked the wood floors and the pool for hubby. Glad to hear again that the village is a great location.....and relatively small, as you mention. Never know what can be built around it.

I've been researching 2,000 sq. foot designer homes with three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms........but this time I just went with what the computer came up with and it was a premier home with only 2 bedrooms. Interior was well maintained or recently redone.

I think we are going to go with a "resale" as most are larger and owners have added a lot of extras.......there are so many choices. If truth be told, we've never ever had so many choices when in the market to buy a new home. I'm sure that when our "time is right" we will find one.

But, glad to know that is a nice quiet village......so thank you very much.

My husband still likes Calumet Grove on the Nancy Lopez golf course....so we are still looking. I just thought that home with the pool would be a good "winter getaway" as it was close to both Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing. Calumet Grove is in the other northwestern quadrant of TV.......and nice and secluded as well, but so far from LSL and SP....doable by auto as that's how we'd go, but a distance nevertheless.

I'd like to know that as well........we have satellite and direct t.v.
Were just talking about the "moving package" with direct t.v.
I guess we have to return the satellite dish?....and the other stuff as well.

I'm not sure of direct TV. I think so but go on their web site and use is zip code of 32159 to check it out. Good for you senior citizen for doing your homework before you come down. It took us 2 years of researching and we knew that we wanted in the lady lake section of the villages because we knew that we needed a mortgage and couldn't afford that and a bond. We were lucky that when we put our house up for sale we sold in 4 months not for when we wanted but close enough since the market took a nose dive. We like this section for the mature trees and lots of open fields around us not just a golf course view. We arrived in the villages on a Thursday found a house on Friday and bought it. You will have no trouble finding a place. After our research we knew what model of house, price we wanted to pay and the area we wanted to live in so that made it a lot easier. Good luck and hope to see you soon. We had a villages sales rep and a private realtor.

Oh my goodness. Well, this is why I asked initially. I'm glad you told me.
Thank you. Appreciate the information. I printed out the map and the information. The owner of the company is A. Papish, Inc. of Danbury, CT.

They sure keep that land looking neat.......but no, wouldn't want a manufacturing plant in the back yard. You are a great detective.

Just because it's in the name of a company, it doesn't mean that they have designs to build commercially. I believe that the company is privately owned. The owner might put everything in his company's name.

We just discussed the exact same thing. Husband said , as you did, that the owner might just invest some of his profits into land and put the deed or whatever into his company's name. Maybe he might even be planning to build for his own retirement. It would be a nice ten acres, for sure.

when I was at the open house, I spoke with the realtor representing that home and inquired about the large amount of land behind the home. You can tell with the wood fence that it was not property that came with the house for sale lot.

The realtor informed me that the area in question was maintained by the homeowners on that side of the street, in regards to mowing and such ????

She seemed knowledgeable enough but that was my clue to loose this house off my list.

Check this out with the listing agent just to be positive, but that is what she told us....

Great house though with the pool and the waterfall.
