Now if someone has a better way to keep the lizards off my cushions......
I’m training my lizards too. If near the door they dash in and then I can’t find them and they never seem to find their way out and so they die. When they are near the back or front doors I gently fan them away about 3 times per lizard and they’re gone. Need to repeat with new ones. If you set a rotating fan on your lanai, I wonder if they’d still come in.

We were very excited about palm Casual .. and like to give business to family owned businesses. Unfortunately, we just returned most of the pieces of our half filled order. It appears that the employment and supply chain issues have really impacted them, in addition to their lack of computerization. After several months of waiting, we had a very partial order delivered.. unfortunately with just a couple of cushions, making the delivery close to useless. Then, after many phone calls, all having to start from ground zero, we got a couple of horrendous looking loan cushions. The initial order of frames was also incorrect, and the delivery of more cushionless incorrect frames loaded up our patio like a junkyard. When at least the table and chair order was complete (after we volunteered to pick up the remaining pieces before they were lost), we indicated that we were no longer willing to wait for the rest of the order to be complete. Everyone was friendly, but the lack of organization and communication was too frustrating to continue. So be prepared if you order from there.

Sunbrella material supposedly cannot fade since the color is imbedded in the fabric. Think of Sunbrella like a carrot with color throughout as opposed to a beet.

Furniture material - Wood will require maintenance, steel will eventually rust. Need something poly-coated. For durability , pay the price.

Moving cushions in is not practical over time. They may be covered with pollen which you don't want in the house. Rain happens when you don't expect it.

All ideas and suggestions welcome.

Default Check out Palm Causal

Check out Palm Casual Furniture in Oakland, FL. You see their billboards along the Turnpike on the way to Orlando. Purchased several metal framed fabric chairs, fire pit, and tables. Very happy with the quality and durability.

Thanks,
I would suggest an internet search. Our lanai is screened, temperature varies depending on time of day, out side temperature and time of year. As to wet not normally but in a hurricane picture rain like coming from a hose, the wind blows the rain horizontally.

I have some antique real wrought iron pieces that I paid to have professionally stripped and spray painted. They are heavy and durable. I state real wrought iron. It is not made any longer. Wrought iron is mostly rust proof. What is sold today is actually steel that has been painted. We have bought some of the knock down cast aluminum stuff.
It is OK. We've had it for 9-10 years. It is sort of I wanna be cast iron but they were too cheap to find and buy the real thing.

Thanks,
We went to Costco and found a nice metal frame set with fabric cushions. When we leave in April we bring in cushions and just cover the frames.

Default Lanai furniture

We got a nice 4 piece set from Plow & Hearth (.com). (2 chairs, love seat and coffee table). It's tight on our villa...probably could have gotten by with not getting one of the arm chairs, but we make it work. We also got their heavy canvas furniture covers that we put on when bad storms are coming in. Total package was around $1,100. Comes unassembled and took me about 2 hours.
Made from a Brazilian wood that stands up to the weather, and 6" thick cushions. We love it.

Another vote for The Perfect Porch. I have purchased furniture there twice. Very satisfied. They are very knowledgeable as to size and types of furniture and can direct you to what will fit your space.

We have a lot of furniture (4 rocking lounge chairs with padded seats, 4 foot stools, 2 metal tables, and a table with four chairs) and they were all made by a company Windward Designs. We also have two rocking lounge chairs and two footstools and one table on a patio in front of our house, and two wicker chairs inside of our house.

We got this outdoor furniture five years ago and we love it.
That would never fit in her lanai.
