get a guote from Vincents Aire Care I use him. the ac system should last more than 10 years you might not need to replace anything large , there are alot of small item that can go bad

My unit is about 8 yrs old and under warranty. I recently had it serviced and asked the SunKool rep what the average age of a need for a new unit . He said that after 10 years you cannot get a continued warranty. If faced with a major repair at that time, you are better off going new. You can repair but you end up with a Frankenstein unit with no warranty and low efficiency. He said that the efficiency is by SEER rating. He claimed that most older units are SEER 12. Mine is a SEER 14 . New ones go up and he recommended SEER 16. SEER is what determines efficiency. Not Tons of capacity. He said that the cost for Gas Furnace and AC replacement for my 2000 Sq Ft Camelia would be about $6500. You might be able to shop for better price. He was not selling so he had no reason to oversell. You then can get warranty and have piece of mind, comfort and lower bills monthly.

Your requests for prices on a new AC ,surely thrills me we extended the yearly warranty on ours...may not be everyone's cup of tea... Relief to me ,since I am the primary decision maker on repairs.
