Both Google earth and Google maps have very nice aerial maps. The google maps for the area of Pinellas is from last December, right around Christmas, so it is fairly recent.

I used Google Earths (Show Historical imagery) to examine the terrain my house was built upon before construction. Google Earth has views back to 1995 for this area. Just pick your time frame and take a look.
