We had our sliders installed by Michelle’s Hideaway Screens two years ago.

We had the power roll-up screen that needed the motor replaced twice and expensive.

I think the main reason I went through two motors was we don't have a service door
to go in and out and every time we needed to go out, up went the power screen.

Before you go this route, consider that the motorized rolling screen saves you from getting out in the rain. Also budget for repairs when you forget to ppen before backing out!

I have the 4 sliding doors, My neighbor has the Electric roller UP and Down screen.
Because the doors are on tracks on the outside of your garage the tracks get clogged with dirt and wheels lock up making for annoyance until I clean or change the rollers.
My neighbors with roll-up screens are much easier to clean and maintain.

Before you decide speak with neighbors that have both.

Here’s a maintenance tip for you,
just wash out the tracks when you
have your garden hose out.
Works like a charm!

We replaced our Courtyard Villa 4 track slider with a Thumper Automatic Door from Cook Aluminum. The slider was a real pain with 1 1/2 garage with car and cart. It has worked perfectly for 2 years now. It took about 6 months to get on their schedule, but worth the wait. We keep one remote in car and one in cart.

Total job with 2 remotes was around $2,200 two years ago.

google "thumper garage screen doors in the villages".

Suggest you look into Thumper's Screen Garage Doors before you make a purchase. They work well, the company is great, and they are much better than the ones that mount outside the door. Thumper's rolls up overhead like your garage door does...uses the same track.

The rollers today are on top of sliding screen doors design like a barn door
so no worry about clogged tracks like to old style.

We love ours

You don’t have to. When you leave with the car/cart you leave the screen door open but you use your remote to close the garage door. The only thing going for the motorized screens is they look good.

My recent quote for Thumpers motorized screen was $3,000. My neighbor paid $2,200 a year ago. In my opinion, not worth that much of a increase. I think these companies are still using covid as a reason to jack up the prices. He actually said his prices have gone up because of covid. Really!!

Yes the price has gone up, as with everything else over the last 2 years. Such a shame our economy has been so screwed up, but to me it is worth the money for ease of operation and the ability to open air my garage.

The sliding 4 part doors on my 2-car garage opening didn't have rollers or wheels. They sat in gliding tracks on the top and bottom.

I'm also interested in a recent price for 4 track sliders and out of 26 posts, only #13 addresses the original question.

Just called Michelle’s for a quote. They’ll be coming out Monday. The prices for each door on my home will be a lousy $2800-3200 depending on the options. I’ve got two 9’ wide doors so that gets expensive fast! They also offer a screen for the front door for about $600.

The motorized 2 car version is around $3600
Lowes or Home Depot have retractable screens for the front door for $200
