Default Best place to buy produce

We've checked out a few Publix stores and not all impressed with their produce section. Our recipes rely heavily on fresh veggies and we're disappointed at the variety and lack of inventory that Publix provided.
Is there another grocery in TV (or short drive) that is your favorite for produce?
TIA

Sprouts has a GREAT selection of fresh produce and specialize in local produce and odd-duck crunchy brands.
Fresh Market is great for pre-made in store stews, sandwiches, cold-bar stuff, olive-bar stuff, packed dinner for two suff, and baked goods.
Then there are the market days, I believe Tuesdays is Market Day near the Dog walk off of Rolling Hill, and Sturdays at spanish spring town square.

There are also some farms in the area that have booths close to the street where they sell whatever their farm produces, and a watermelon guy who sets his cart in an enclave off Micro Racetrack Road and sell watermelons.

Can you be a little more specific on the location of these booths? Hard to find them from your description.

We go to the Market at Marion
12888 US-441, Belleview, FL 34420

I think they are Friday-Sunday. The driveway in is one way, so if you think of a clock entering (you are driving counter clockwise) at 6 o’clock the fruit and veggies are at 9-10 o’clock. There is a row of just farmer types including the pickle guy that is always busy at Brownwood. Big selection and reasonable.

We go to the market, St Marks in Summerfield, and Walmart on 466 then back home to down south De Luna and we are done for the week.

Aldi and Sprouts, which have already been mentioned. Aldi's stuff tends to be fresher (according to my wife, who knows about such things) because of the rapid turnover. We've had pretty good luck at Publix: in the rare instances where something was not fresh we'd just bring it back and they'd either replace it or refund our money, no questions asked. I don't know of any other place that does that, not for fresh produce anyway.

There is a stand we saw yesterday, on 301 about two miles before Wildwood, selling various veggies and fruit. We didn't stop; however we did see a couple of cars there.

Not sure what produce you use, but I consistently find everything I need at Walmart!

O'Steen's Market and Farm in Summerfield, FL is worth the drive as they grow their own produce, plus stock eggs and organically grown meats from local farms.

I have found Sprouts to be comparable—and often bette—than the benchmark for high quality fresh produce, Whole Foods.

Whole Foods 50 minutes away in Orlando.we called corporate a couple times my wife and I and if we can get enough people to call we might convince them it would be in their interest to bring one to us.

Join a CSA-from a local organic farmer. https://frogsongorganics.com/about-us/- You can visit their stand at the Winter Garden farmers market Saturday Farmers' Market – City of Winter Park. It is hard to find healthy food at any chain store. Most of what they sell is banned in Europe.

Saturday morning, the farmers market at Brownwood square.

I get tomatoes, Japanese eggplant, and baby bok choy at one of the stands. There are several produce stands, so check them all out.

Sam's and Aldi's have good selection and prices.

Sprouts and Fresh Market have good produce but $$$$.

We also ship Trader Joes, Whole Foods in Orlando, and Costco in Clermont and Orlando.

Winter Park also has a Farmer's Market in Saturdays.

Over time, check them all out, and then decide what is best for you.

In a pinch, you can settle for Publix and Winn-Dixie for convenience.
