Arriving back to MCO around midnight and wondering if anyone has any experience with Lyft or Uber from MCO to local Hotels in airport area. Time to get available ride and cost for ride to hotels within 2 to 4 miles at Midnight. Not a previous user.

I have no experience in that area but what I normally do is go into the app a couple of days early at the time I want to ride and then request the ride. You don't go as far as actually choosing a car but you will get to see how many cara are available, what the wait time is, and what the cost is.

Does anyone know what cabs cost in Orlando? I can’t find any official rates posted anywhere.

I believe you could get Uber or Lyft that time of night around the airport. Orlando is a big town with lots of younger people who are out at night and then arriving tourists going to Disney, etc. |

I use both quite often when traveling. I have experience with Uber taking me home to TV from MCO at around 11pm. It was $67 for the drive home. I took an Uber from an offsite parking lot to the airport ( was in a rush to catch the Brightline train) it cost $16 at peak daytime hours. I usually choose Lyft as I think they are a bit less expensive and I can leave a tip on the app. But if price is your issue, most hotels close to the airport have free shuttles.

If you can't get any transportation, you can always try staying at the pricey Hyatt Regency in the airport.

Check out renting a car. Prices are comparable to some of the shuttles and uber by the time you pay and tip them. Simple and easy and no waiting! Just another option.

We have stayed at either the Hilton Garden Inn or one of the two Hampton inns that are within a mile or so of the airport. You call thier front desk and they pick you up. Always been smooth. No charge for the service.

Yes. I have been using them for 10 years. Some people have issues with long times in the vans, depending on where you live in The Villages, and I can certainly appreciate that. I use them primarily because of the 24/7 service. We have also, on occasion, used a private driver. I have yet to use Uber/Lyft but may in the future.

Most of the hotels around the airport have shuttles. How late they run is another story. Cab may be easier.

Our family has stayed at the hotel inside MCO several times with great experiences—no long delays, easy walk to room, quiet, easy check in & out, not expensive compared to hotel + transport. Free Hotel shuttles often have long waits after 10-11pm. Our favorite Orlando hotel is Rosen Shingle Creek which is 13 minutes by free shuttle but talk with reservations & request a room with shorter walk. Shingle Creek is very accommodating. Ask RSC about late arrival limo. They have 24 hour room service too.
