We are thinking about visiting Alaska for a land tour this coming summer. Anyone have any suggestions of who to go with?

We used Uncruise several years ago for 1 week land and 1 week ocean. It was well worth the price. Very similar to Tauck if you are familiar with them.

A few years ago we did Holland America. As I recall, 4 days on a ship doing Inside Passage and about 9 or 10 day bus tour. Bus tour was excellent.

We did an Alaska land and sea tour with John Hall's Kiss Alaska a number of years ago and happily recommend it. They currently have 7 presentations scheduled in The Villages in November/December. Click on the link below and select "Plan Your Experience". The dates, times, and locations of the seminars held here are listed. There was absolutely no pressure when we attended.

Back in 2014, we booked the Princess Land/Ocean tour from one of the travel agents in The Villages and it was fantastic. We flew into Fairbanks, had organized tours in the area, traveled by bus to the DENALI PRINCESS WILDERNESS LODGE where they had tours into the park to see the mountain and wildlife, traveled by train to the McKINLEY PRINCESS LODGE at Talkeetna, and then by train to the port at Whittier where we boarded the ship that went down the inside passage to Vancouver. We've talked to several people who have taken just the ship and know that they have missed out on a large part of the Alaska experience. And we were glad we stayed at both of the Princess lodges because of their proximity to "THE" mountain. So by all means, talk to one of the travel agents and book a land/sea trip. You won't regret it.

Thank you! We were hoping to get some feedback on his trip. We have attended the seminar and really enjoyed his presentation. So, it is good to hear from someone who has experienced it!

We have done two land tours with his company and experienced first class service from the first phone call to the company to the end of each trip. Small groups, very comfortable coaches, travel to places the bigger groups can't always visit, excellent meals and accomodations. |

I'm curious about ad placement after post #2. Is it a coincidence?

Hi we did our Alaska land and sea cruise with Princess.
The only negative thing i have to said is that while you are staying in the Princess lodges you have to pay for your meals. I didnt know this when i booked, Other cruise lines put you up in hotels and meals are included. So research the cruise lines and see if lodging and meals are included with your sea and land tours. |

Move quickly. Tours for this summer may already be full. Also, auto rental for self guided tour can cost hundreds per day.

Tauck Tours. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
