Speaking of television, don’t forget the Thanksgiving classic.

“Turkeys Away”
WKRP, Season 1, Episode 7, on Apple TV. Probably on YouTube, too. (1978)

“A lot of turkeys don’t make it through Thanksgiving.”

Since you are "of an age" to be living here in The Villages, you will see people you know and maybe even yourself in this series. Highly, highly recommended.
I'm not a big Ted Danson fan, but a friend told me about this series. I started watching and love it! As someone who lives in the Villages and took care of my mom in assisted living it is so real.

My thoughts exactly for my Dad, but I must remember this is Hollywood.

I worked in Hollywood and my mom was in assisted living in CA. I thought this was pretty close to the truth. Kate Snow's grandfather lived in my mom's facility and had a girlfriend. They loved to dance. They would have the same conversation every time they got together. My mom, who had dementia, would say "If I heard that story once, I heard it a hundred times.". Even with dementia, my mom was good at trivia and loved bingo. There were people who never had visitors, things were stolen and some caregivers really do care. I thought it was right on.

I watched the series. Not great, but worth watching.

That is good to hear.

I finished watching the last 2 episodes last night. What a great show! It made me cry/laugh. Can't wait for next year.
