How do we surmise this since the year is never mentioned in the TV cartoon?

When it debuted in 1962 it was said that the show “takes place 100 years in the future." Okay, so we think we have a year - 2062.

In one episode George is testing a spacesuit that will “keep him alive until he is 150” to which George says, “Only 110 years to go!”

So now we know George is 40 and it is 2062, therefore he was born in 2022.

Unbeknownst to viewers at the time this makes George a pandemic baby.

How do we know his birth is on July 31? Well, someone on the internet said it, so it might be true.

But, for a cartoon character, we'll assume the date is correct.
