Default Gravity with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

Take a shot at predicting this weekend's box office draw for Gravity. http://www.the-numbers.com/interacti...hp?newsID=8548

You only have until 12:59 P.M. Villages Time TODAY (October 4, 2013) to get your prediction to them.

It looks like a very original and good movie from the articles in The Villages Daily Sun and reviews like this-- http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...-else-like-it/

And those on here-- http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/gravity_2013/

Default Gravity was quite good.

This movie lived up to all the hype IMHO. Quite a lot of action with some very good acting and the George Clooney's character's stories were very amusing.

I received my copy of "New Girl" yesterday after winning the Gravity prediction contest last week. It looks like a fun series even if I am not a big sitcom fan except for Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Cheers, M.A.S.H. and a few others. Looks like New Girl is worth a look-- http://www.the-numbers.com/interacti...hp?newsID=8596

Default I enjoyed Gravity

I saw it in 3D IMAX here in suburban Chicago. Really enjoyed it; Sandra Bullock will probably get a Best Actress Oscar nomination. But in no way would I ever want to fly into space even if/when space travel opens up to "tourists."

And for those of you from the Chicago area...a Chicago suburb gets a shout out in the movie.

I noticed that too. I did enjoy this film. Not as much as Captain Phillips but it certainly is worth the price for a 3D ticket. Too far for me too go from the Villages to IMAX though.

I must be the only one who thought the movie was not as good as I expected. Special effects were good but the story line was too long and dragged out....almost fell asleep.

You weren't. There's another post about the film with several of us who were bored.

Gravity gets my vote for one of the worst movies ever!

I think think film was over hyped. The film made me dizzy and after the first crash the others were just redundant and tiring.

What was the "shout out"? We lived in Schaumburg and I had a baby in Elk Grove Village so I know the whole area very well.... just curious.

IADCathy, As Taltarzac said, Sandra Bullock's character was from Lake Zurich. Where did you live in Schaumburg? I live about 3 blocks west of Schaumburg High School near Schaumburg Road and Springinsguth. Did you have your baby at Alexian Bros. Hospital? I go past Alexian Bros. at least once a week as my church is in Elk Grove Village. Small world.
