Default LPGA Solheim Cup Disaster

There's someone on TOTV who's huge LPGA supporter and reporter. I'm hoping he deigns to comment on this latest debacle.

It started Wednesday.

The USA is the "host" and got 1st choice of "cottages" for the team. They took the biggest house.

Their opponents took the smaller house, which just happened to overlook the Driving Range and have 4 "indoor hitting bays" and a patio on the range Tee Box. They immediately set up tables, lounge chairs and music. A few decided to use the indoor hitting bays. The American ladies complained and eventually moved elsewhere ... sort of. In the meantime, the European's were having a rockin' party on their patio.

Today was the opening day ... except no fans showed up. Why? Organizers didn't provide transportation from the remote parking sites. Fans showed up at 8:30 a.m. and were told they'd have to waiting in the parking lots, for 2-3 hours, before shuttle buses would arrive.

Some folks (families, staff, etc.) were allowed to park, on-site. They arrived for the Opening Ceremonies, but along with no one else showing up, the Porto-Potties were locked and unavailable for use. Not to demean women in any way, but you know how they prefer to always have a "freshening up area", close by.

The LPGA's flagship event is an utter disaster so far. As has always been the case, the LPGA is managed by a spin off, from the "Not Ready For Prime Time Players".

Quite a debacle...at least the U.S. is up for now. LT a poor choice, as was JT last year.

You think thatโ€™s a disaster? The announcer thinks heโ€™s Vince McMahon ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I know the those issues were addressed on TV yesterday. Kind of funny how it worked out don't ya think. You're team's the closest to the driving range, hitting nets, practice areas, got your music and party going on and then start off first day behind by 4? Just my observation but I don't think I'd want to be staying closest to the noisy areas.

We have attended two Solheim cups over the years. Always enjoyable and never any problems. Actually had real interest in this one because offer of lodging but would not have been pleased if caught in that mess. Appears USA is in a good position to win this one. Side bar - really like the Euros bucket hats.

Is it my imagination, or are the announcers in the booth less interested in doing their job and more interested in rooting for Europe?
