I cant speak to the cleaniness issue other than what I saw out front at the bar area looked OK, but I just had an order from Takis...2 Gyro's and 1 large Greek Salad.

Gyro's were pretty good but the Greek Salad was terrible...just shredded lettuce and ham....anything but what you would expect a Greek Salad to be. They can definitely improve the salad.

From my perspective I don't think the volume at the Colony McD's has returned. I haven't counted cars, but the sheer number appears to have declined significantly.

I think Taki's Greek salad is the best I've ever had. Get one every Wednesday along with a small cheese pizza. Doesn't get any better or any cheaper!

Just had lunch at Takis earlier this week. All was good. No creepy crawlies. Waiter did not appreciate my asking for the deep fried roaches though.

So you were denied this item? Terrible service since the customer is always right.

To be truthful, I don't know what I would have done if he had shown up at the table with them. I probably deserved it, too. My humor is not universally appreciated.

They are opening a new restaurant on Leesburg near 27/441 . Nice looking exterior. My favorite restaurant too, guess I'll lay low and see how they bounce back.

Just seen new place. Are they moving or going to have two places?

Takis has had a Leesburg location for a long time.

At this point I don't know what the violations where but it appears they are corrected. That satisfies me. Always had a good meal there and will continue to go there. I used to travel extensively to New Orleans and when you eat on Bourbon Street you always have to battle for your food as it is not uncommon to see creatures running across the table. I would imagine that most restaurants could be shut down if you look hard enough.

In the interest of a fair and balance reporting I did a search of the Internet and looked up Restaurant Violations in the Villages Area. There are plenty to go around for everyone. So if you think this is the only violation in the area, I suggest you do some research. I have not been able to confirm the original posters statement at this time. Is there a link that can be posted.

Regardless is there is a link or not... there was an article in the newspaper that we all read stating that there was a major roach infestation along with other problems. Balanced reporting would have been "There was a huge gathering of roaches in the kitchen and an equal number of roaches in the dining area..."

Say... while you're here on the computer why not check and see if the state is holding your money. There are 5,000 plus listing in zip 32161 alone.
