They show that the wonderful SKY Asian Fusion Restaurant in Ocala is coming to The Villages soon. First I've heard of that but the club is usually on top of things. Love their website. They were written up in this month's STYLE Magazine too.

We've eaten at Sky a few times ~ very good food & service.

My one and ONLY experience with the Shanghai Chinese on 466 brings back memories of roaches - not one, not two, but I personally saw three roaches crawling around in there. The food I ate before seeing the wildlife was not very good.

On the other hand, we've now eaten at Cheng's (also on 466) and the food there is very, very good. No buffet, but the place appears to be clean and bug free.

I hardly have a gourmet's palate but the chinese restaurant in the Southern Trace Shopping Center's food is OK and I have never seen any bugs or anything in there. It is called the China Buffet. http://www.thevillagescommercialprop...hern-trace.asp

The Chinese restaurant in Colony Plaza is really good and reasonable :bigthumbsup:. We've gotten take out from there and their luncheon specials with soup are ample enough to have half for dinner. They're usually pretty busy at lunchtime, which is another good sign.

Where is Cheng's Chinese Restaurant on CR466?? ???

The Villages website has it wrong. The buffet at 3435 Wedgewood Lane (Southern Trace) is called the Shanghai China Buffet. At any restaurant, if you see insects of any kind, call Tallahassee at 850-487-1395 and they will be happy to pull a surprise inspection of the establishment to verify your complaint.
