Default Red Sauce

I have been a visitor to the villages for 20 years and have eaten out at virtually every restaurant around. We have recently on 2 occasions attempted to book a table at "Red Sauce" and on both occasions I have found the lady Matrie d (seater) to be the most rude and obnoxious person I have came across in the Villages ....... so much so I will never return to try the place.... I know its a very busy restaurant and they can probably take us or leave us ....but I wasn't the only one to have this service. I know the owner of this restaurant owns other places and we have visited these places without problems, but this person needs an attitude adjustment or in my opinion removing.

Default Red Sauce

We ate dinner there Wednesday night and all of the staff were friendly. Zero problems.

I have eaten at Red Sauce a few times recently and did not have any issues - the service was very good. There are more than a few negative reviews of various restaurants in The Villages and I can't help but feel that many are an attempt to convince others not to go there. I would suggest you contact the owner of the restaurant directly to express your concerns instead of posting here and either explicitly or implicitly try to persuade other not to patronize Red Sauce. While posting on TOTV can certainly be cathartic, I trust that you realize that posting here will have no impact on how the restaurant functions. Why would this be true? I don't believe enough people read TOTV to matter and I believe most people ignore negative restaurant reviews, particularly when there is an emotional and "I've been done wrong" tone to the review. Just saying ...

I'm not trying to convince anyone to avoid Red Sauce, from the amount of people in the place it would take a lot more than an observation by myself. I was just commenting that in all the time I have visited different restaurants I have never came across a person like that. I would hope that the owner / management look at websites like this for feedback and hopefully act on it.
