Weather stripping bottom of door
 

The weather stripping at bottom of front door needs replaced- How hard is this to do and is there a specific brand to buy at lowes or home depot- thank you

If the door is a Fiberglass Therma Tru door, the weather stripping just snaps off and on between two track groves on bottom of door. I got my replacement on Amazon, but Lowe’s or Home Depot would also have it.
I didn’t have to remove door to replace mine.

I just helped a neighbor ACE Hardware had the strip, and as noted above the old one pulls out and the new one snaps in, we took the door of the hinges by pulling the hinge pins, and then set the door on saw horses to work on it. I did not try to replace with the door still mounted.

I replaced mine, and two of the neighbors with the door attached … simple job , also
Beware of two small screws on each end of the old rubber strips.. lubricate the new seal and slide it in.. (it’s a one beer job)
