Yep! I like to watch my little guys outside the lanai. Never seen one eat a bug though.

I very much like the little bug eating critters, but very much dislike the birds that dive bomb our birdcage and peck holes in the screen in an attempt to eat the geckos.

The geckos mostly likely only can be seen at night around porch lights or lighted walls and are kind of rare in this area. The ones you see in day light are anoles, and skinks. I seen some geckos at Chatham rec center after dark on walls by lights catching buds drawn by the light. They have little suction pads on there feet.

the lizards in TV all seem to just go after bugs
that was the case in Ft Lauderdale for years....then a new type of lizard showed up, just a little larger with a curled up tail....they went after the other lizards...that changed the whole game...the hunters were now the hunted |

Don’t like the snakes that chase them. Can tell the snakes are around when the geckos hide.

Drives me crazy! Our dog relentlessly barks and paws at the lanai screen or windows, and he practically pulls my arm out of its socket when I take him outside. The cat batted one around when it got inside and stunned the poor little thing, but we rescued it. Good thing he had insurance—It’s tough to do CPR on a gecko.

I live in a patio villa so they crawl up under siding and come in my lanai and poop all over the furniture. I’ve tried various means to keep them out but not much works. Any suggestions? They are cute outside my lanai.

Moved in here last June and had lots of Anoles running around my patio, window sills and, rarely one would get in my lanai. My little 12-lb dog found great sport in trying to catch them though I don'y think he ever did. This year - there are NONE. I haven't seen any snakes yet but last year there were nine snake eggs in the irrigation box. I suppose that is why the Anole's disappeared.

They can get in through openings where the screen door saddle is. I stuffed it with part of an exfoliating bath sponge (you know the things that look like look like nylon balls) and have kept them out of the lanai.

I have lots of them around the yard.
Does that get me a discount on my GEICO policy? |
