That's a heck of a comb-over he's got there. Beautiful photo.

Beautiful! But not much meat and tastes like last weeks dried chicken wings. Let them live, please.

Aggressive little buggers. They will rifle through golf carts looking for a snack. A couple of them hang out in the woods near the 13th green at Tierra Del Sol. When the golfers head to the green to putt out, they go through the golf carts and will steal anything available to eat. I’ve learned the hard way and now make sure any food is secured in the cooler before grabbing my putter. They are called Sherman Fox squirrels.

These are big. First time I saw one here in the Villages I was not sure what it was. Sherman's Fox Squirrel | Florida State Parks

Thanks for posting - I have lived in Florida since 1980 on the east coast and I had never seen one until a year ago. I had no idea what ran across the road because it was so large - thankfully my husband (a native Floridian) told me it was a fox squirrel so I googled it to learn. Now your photo is the 2nd one I have seen.

Great photo. Can’t stop whistling the theme to the old tv show about Davie Crockett.

For our viewing pleasure. We have a person who takes and uploads great pictures for us.
Hope they continue! Love their shots! This was perfect timing and made me laugh. Thanks OP!!! |

So happy to wake up in the morning and nearly every day, have a remarkable photo waiting to look at. I sometimes share them with family who are up north and they are surprised, by the talent of the photographer, the Floridian beauty, the mischievous wild life and so on.
