I am heading back to my Villages home next week and I am in need of some new sneakers. I don't play pickleball that much and I use my sneakers for everything, walking and pickleball and bike riding, etc.
The brands I like seem to all have black soles and I seem to recall a rule saying no black soles on the courts. But I'm hoping/assuming this means the types of shoes that leave marks and sneakers usually don't do that. So are black sole sneakers okay? |

As long as they are non marking and court shoes. Don’t want wear walking or running shoes they leave marks and tread pattern not for playing court games, wear out quickly, and risk twisting ankle.

Another thing anything other than non-marking tennis court shoes are not allowed on any hard surface courts in villages. Pickleball shoes are same as tennis courts shoes as far as sole rubber just little different tread design and sales pitch. So that eliminates walking shoes, hiking shoes, running shoes, thongs, sandals, and any other shoes style that wasn’t specifically designed for hard court surface. Badminton shoes would be poor choice due to soft rubber sole designed for wood floors.
