Does anyone have a recent review of Rivers Family Medicine at Brownwood? The only post I can find on the forum is from 2012. TIA.

ON line post can be fabricated by anyone. I have never used a PC, no need, because whatever our needs a hallway consultation was available in the OR.

I decided to seek one, in TV, after extensive search I made an appointment with Steven Rives @ Rivers Family. He was 1 of 3, recommended by my Cardiologist, Interventionist, and Nephrologist.

I found the staff to be professional, draw onsite for labs, and referrals sent immediately to other physicians for need. Office requested records and reviewed by staff and DR before my appointment, for new patient establish appointment.

He immediately recognized my area code, and thought name seemed familiar. He practiced at both my spouse, daughter, and my facility. I found him to ask revenant questions, and made suggestions for consolations, other tests, that I also thought I was in need of, without the need to push, or order off the wall labs

My wife and I both have been going there sense they opened in Brownwood. We see Dr. Anthony Desmarais and NP Tara and are very happy with both.

Since our PCP retired recently, my wife and I have started seeing Dr Julio Ugarte MD at their Buenos Aires Blvd office in Lady Lake. So far, so good. We like him and the way that the practice functions.

When we moved here, we were waitlisted at Rivers and Villages Health as new patients (non- Medicare).

Villages Health offered us an appointment before our scheduled appointment with Rivers, so we went with them.

Thinking now that it was the wrong choice.

We like our doctor a lot, but some of their general policies are inconvenient for us and seem to change based on how whoever you're talking to wants to interpret the way things get done.

We're considering switching over to Rivers.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Rivers for 5-6 years and are very happy with him and his staff. My husband has numerous issues and Dr. Rivers and his staff have responded very well.

My father, who recently passed, was a patient of Dr. Rivers for 10+ years. I accompanied my father on all his visits to Dr. Rivers for the past 4-5 years, and as a result of seeing 1st hand his treatment, I requested & was put on a "new patient request list" for Doc Rivers 2 yrs ago. I finally got accepted--apparently I'm one of his youngest patients!!--and 100% recommend Dr. Rivers. Besides the fact that I think he's perfectly capable, he's personable, most importantly, he seems willing (within reason obviously) to take as much time with his patients as they need.

I'm a patient of & def recommend Dr. Rivers.
