Dr Daniel Jacobs in Orlando is an extremely good neurologist. He is in a practice with about 6 other neurologists. It's travel but well worth it.

Address is:
3849 Oakwater Circle
PO Box 568305
Orlando‎ FL‎ 32856-8305
United States

I agree with this recommendation. we tried 3 neurologists in The Villages, then we went back to Dr. Jacobs. He is so good and he really listens to his patients. Our son had been a patient of his since 2000, but we thought we could find a doctor closer but it's worth it to call his neurology group.

My mother went to Dr. Tikku in Leesburg who I really, really like. He really listens, never rushes and seems to understand. I was present with my mom in all her appointments and not only did he listen to my concerns, he welcomed me to join my mom during her exams. Dr. Smirnoff, a little more local, was also one I went to for a short time. He, too, is someone I would recommend.

Dr. Antonio Antonio Disclafani in Ocala, Fl. I'm having back surgery in 3 weeks, and he was highly recommended. When I was in his office, he took up a lot of time with me and explained everything I asked about.

I think the neurologist you end up with depends on the type of problem you need addressed. Some are more specialized in different areas of neurology.

Good thing to have several to choose from.

Connie is correct....For EXAMPLE, not a lot of neurogologists here in the Villages that "specialize" in MS but almost all familiar with dementia, Alzheimer's.
