My wife has spinal stenosis and has been experiencing leg and back pain for well over a year now... maybe closer to two years. She has tried the pain management route with little to no success. She refuses to take pain pills and I don't blame her.
Recently she became aware of a product/procedure called Vertiflex Superion Vertiflex Superion – Champlain Spine & Pain Management. , or perhaps that's a brand name for the procedure of inserting tiny spacers between the facets of the spine. These spacers give the same type relief that a person would normally get from sitting down. It seems like a simple procedure with no wires, batteries, or electric current involved. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here has had direct experience with this procedure and what your thoughts are on it? Thanks. |

This is interesting. If she has it, I hope you'll post back regarding the results.

Will do. We're checking into it a bit more seriously right now. Will let you know if she finds a doc in this area to do it and what the outcome is.

Off at a tangent.
But. Here in UK we have a TV show called Supervet which features Irish vet Professor Noel Fitzpatrick. He has pioneered many types of surgery, and prosthetics that has given life and mobility to animals that in normal veterinary practices would be put down. Amongst them is the proceedure you enquired about. To see literaly paralyzed cats dogs etc. walking and running after spacers are put in the spine is amazing. I would definitely look into it more. If you have no success, you could always come over to UK and get the vet to do it! ![]() |

Take a look at bonati.com. Maybe have Dr. Decker at Shands review the MRI. Good luck.
