Question Where to Retail Purchase pine straw

We need to add to the original developer pine straw in our front beds. Has any one purchased this from a nursery or paid a landscaper for the pine straw and the spread job. Thanks for the help.

We need to do this too! There is a landscape place on 466A right past Colony Plaza on the way to Fruitland Park. I know of neighbors going there to purchase bales of this straw. I think it's about $5.00 bale. Hope this is helpful for you!

If you have pets beware; pine straw can have loads of ticks.

Southern Aggregates on Rolling Acres Road sells pine straw. They're across from Ro-Mac Lumber and Supply and fairly close to the intersection of US 27/441 and Rolling Acres. I keep 30 gallon trash bags in my car and whenever I'm running low on pine straw, I pick up some bales when I'm in the area near Home Depot, Kohl's, etc. A bale fits nicely in the bag and the bag keeps the trunk clean.

Fairfield Farms on CR 301, north of 466, also sells pine straw.

I have used the nursery just past Colony Plaza. The cost was $4.00 per bale. There is a delivery charge of $25.00 for any number of bales. When I do my property I need about 65 bales so delivery is necessary. However, if you only need a few, the bales fit nicely into 30 gallon garbage bags, so you can put them in your car and not make a mess.

i used the supplier on rolling acres,
they have a very nice employee that loaded the car and also showed me the way to spread the straw. i came during their lunch break, he stopped his break and loaded the car, with a smile and a sincer "thanks for your business" and a hand shake. when would you receive that treament at the "big box" stores? shop local and support the small guy.
