Parts of my lawn were decimated by chinch bugs. Looking for someone to replace some patches with sod and overseed others. Any recommendations?

Ask neighbors for recommendations of lawn services working in your area

You might try filling in the bald spots with topsoil if the spots aren't too large, and your existing grass will eventually fill in. You also can buy replacement sod at Lowes.

As another said, no overseeing. You can replace doormat size pieces or saltine cracker size plugs.
My yard is a mess -- cinch bugs and canine invaders. I am in the process of collecting a few names for bids on re-sodding. I'll post the names once my wife collects a couple. She has one already, but wants 3 or more before attempting to get quotes. |

Ours too, even though we were paying for pesticide service. After treating for the bugs better, we are having Adam's Earth aerate and put down top soil/ manure. Hopefully, that will turn it around. They will come out to inspect and recommend..

I use on of these to help the bare spots fill in more quickly.

I like using a "doughnut" cutter and cutting plugs from healthy portions of my lawn. The plugs are larger and healthier.
Fill the removal spot w/ topsoil or Black Cow manure, sprinkle same on the plug's new location, and you will help your lawn in both locations. Making sure the cinch bugs are down to a dull roar and keeping them there ( never really 100% gone fyi) 1st, is a given. |
