Thumbs up Rupert Cross landscaping 406-8814

I have had Rupert do some work for me recently and in the past (replacing dead shrubs, repairing and moving sprinklers, trimming, laying down mulch and a few other things). He did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend him for both large and small landscaping jobs. If I ever get around to going beyond the builder's landscaping, I would definitely use him.

Just be forewarned, he's not always timely but he always gets the job done beautifully.

Totally agree. Gave his name to someone and he did a beautiful job on their landscaping. One of the prettiest I've seen in TV and definitely not cookie cutter.

He just trimmed up our bushes & palms yesterday. A very hard worker (so was his ass't) who knows his stuff. I wish he was our personal gardener.

Default French Drains

We had sod damage from the gutters downspout run off. Rupert and his guys just completed French Drains down both sides of our house and connected all the downspouts to them. He leveled out the gulley between the houses and placed new sod over the area also he removed and replaced the damaged sod.

We are very pleased with his knowledge and the work he and his guys performed at a very reasonable cost and with a 2 year warranty.

We have already recommended him to friends who are also very happy with him - based on our experience I highly recommend him.

We have used Rupert and his crew or years now. He's the best and VERY reasonable. He replaced our entire front and where we had lots of weeds and misc. stuff in front area of our front porch he redid it with great plants surrounding a flagstone patio area he did. We LOVE it. His knowledge of what plant life really works here is extensive. Yes he is hard to get a hold of and you will have to wait as he gets even ore popular but he's worth the wait.!

Default Rupert Cross

We also had Rupert Cross (352-406-8814) do some new home landscaping, including curbing, removal of pine straw and replaced with stone, new plantings. He was very helpful in suggesting a layout for our yard and he and his 4 man crew worked very hard and cleanup was great!! Also, his pricing was not off the charts, like most of the big guys!! As a matter of fact, he adjusted his price to accommodate our budgeting parameters. We will use him again!!

Several of our neighbors use Rupert and love him and his crew, however they seem to be unrelible, you have to call , and call and call; he always says he'll come but you may wait a few weeks and maybe they'll show up. getting too big!!

I may have just been lucky (combined with the fact we are out of season), but, I called him on a Friday, he came out the same day and started the work the following Tuesday.

We used him for years now and yes you sometimes have to call and call but he and his crew are worth the wait! Too big?.. More like too popular! I'd never even consider using anyone else! His knowledge of Florida plants, trees etc is beyond anyone we have met! So if you can't be patient your loss!

As I tell folks, Rupert works on Jamaican time. He rarely gets there when you want him to but he does get there and does a great job once he starts. His biggest problem is that he seems to always do a little more than expected and, thus, constantly runs late. He's been this way since I've known him (almost ten years now). If you want prompt and timely, go to one of the big guys; if you want good and reasonable and can be patient, go to Rupert.

Default Not worth chasing

It sounds like this gentleman is a great guy to do business with, however, waiting for someone that says they are coming and then doesn't show, or one who takes lots of chasing would not be worth it to me. I had two people I have delt with who did large jobs for me and one required constant phone calling to get them to respond, and one kept saying he would be here and then would call with a reason why he couldn't be. That kept up for months and months. For those reasons, I would never recommend these two contractors to anyone, nor would I use someone who did business this way. Customer service should be number one for a great relationship between businessman and client.

I called him, set up a 2 o'clock appt with him, that was 3 weeks ago. Never heard from him, gave the job to someone else. Sorry but not even a call to say he couldn't make, my time is more valuable than that.
