Talking Plants for Frost

Actually its not too early to start thinking of plants that will survive the frost this winter. When I first moved here, I bought all kinds of plants that looked good, not thinking about frost. (I lost most of them) Now I check the hardiness of the plants before buying. Plants that say 30-20 degrees, I feel will survive winter here. Does anyone have suggestions for others, for plants that will survive the cold, without having to cover them?

Default frost plants

We used Loropetalums, Knockout brand Roses, and most evergreens, but the designer for KGL Landscaping (Jeannie) installed Camelias in our landscape along with some tropicals, and they bloomed from the first frost all the way through the spring. They were so amazing. You should give them a call she really knows the plants here. Kevin, the owner, knows your property and pays attention to the details. They"re company is so good at listening to what we as a homeowner wanted. (352)347-8307

We plant whatever the Villages plant in their numerous flowerbeds. They seem to have it all figured out and their flowers all look great. Mostly we have had luck with pansies, Vincas, geraniums. The Vincas and geraniums keep coming back year after year.
