We are looking for a person or service to maintain our plant beds - weeding, triming of bushes and other plants, tree trimming, cleaning out debri from the beds, monitor the sprinklers, etc. We envision a monthly service, some months more to do than others. We are flexible on how they would like to work out the cost/payments. Some initial clean up and possible plant replacement will be needed.

We have found that any of the typical lawn services do not pay good attention to that and won't do some of it. So we are looking to separate the lawn care from the plant bed care. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We use David Shaw 352-208-3994. He was recommended to a friend of ours by word of mouth and we liked what we saw when he re-did her landscaping. He trimmed our bushes and trees carefully and beautifully, replaced mulch with stone, made recommendations for easy-care plants, advised us on a couple of new tree choices, and recently built short walls in place of the moldy curbing all around our landscape. He will maintain the plants (he dead-headed and trimmed our drift roses) and will fertilize, but is NOT licensed to spray pesticides. We have a lawn/shrub/termite contract with Deans, so I have asked them not to do any bush trimming (they hacked up everything before we got here in Sept), but they will do bed-weed control as well as pesticide spraying on the bushes. David is reasonable, and he's an excellent worker. If you contact him, tell him I sent you!

Hello we use Jim Sampiere I think he is just what you are looking for. He trims our hedges and shrubs, weeds, plants shrubs as needed, flowers and beds as needed . Just an all around gardener , young and energetic, honest and good prices. He also does our mowing shows up every week just to make sure all looks good.
