While my pool nears completion I am struggling to find Adirondack type chairs that are acceptable for use on the ledge / lounge pad area of the pool. I see many others in TV have done the same thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as well as any products that didn’t work out for some of you. Also what type of umbrella pole material did you settle on
Thanks! |

Don’t get anything that will rust, after 5 years our pool side chairs are in need of replacement. We won’t make that mistake again.

We have various chairs, high top table, etc., all from Perfect porch that are approaching 8 years old on the birdcage (no pool) and in excellent condition. We did opt for the thicker material, and other than a once (maybe twice) a year cleaning these are excellent. NO idea if these would be suitable for being actually in the pool water, but these are all aluminum, so no rusting.

How about polywood? I've had that stuff out on the dock for three years and they haven't faded or worn a single bit. Nearly indestructible!

We ended up NOT putting furniture on our ledge. When we considered it, i would have gone with this

I bought pool furniture a 2-3 years ago from Home Depot. I wanted something made of aluminum, something that did not rust. They had some very nice looking stuff so we got it. Roll ahead a year or so it seems the welds are not aluminum and they rust leaving a spot on the deck. Lots of sanding and some Rustolem and I thought my issue was solved. But at any pivot point, like the back of a recliner the water will get inside and then moving the recliner I get all little puddle of rusty black water. If I had it to do over again I would look at something that is not metal.

We bought white polywood Adirondack chairs at Home Depot. We did have to assemble them but it was very easy. We use them on our pool’s sun shelf and they looked great and are comfortable.
