Default BEWARE OF Jerry Martin Irrigation

Saw their ad in POA bulletin claiming they won numerous peoples choice awards. Had them do a $39.99 Irrigation system evaluation. They said the 2 year old home's system needed $1364. worth of work. The tech then said I can just do what will get you by for $622. Got all work bid by Massey for $210. A neighbor then helped me do everything. Cost of parts under $45.

I have to agree, they quoted me anywhere from 1200 to 3600 to repair the 14 year old system. Stellar did the entire job for 620.

Better let the POA know of your concerns....................

I saw a recommendation for sprinkler repair guy right here on Talk of The Villages & was really taken for a ride. If you are planning to do some work you might stay away from this one. If you want the name just call 863-398-5886 first. I paid $80 more than the actual cost & still wonder if the job was even done. Recommendations here are often staged.

We just found this out but we understand from one of their techs that Bates (pests & termite control company) also maintains irrigation systems.

Had a similar experience with Jerry Martin Irrigation. After their $39.95 system evaluation they quoted a price of $3,600 to repair a 5 year old system that several sprinkler heads were leaking and adjustment of coverage areas. Representative said all the heads required full replacement. Instead I used a recommendation listed on TOTV. My total cost for the repairs was $220. None of the sprinkler heads needed to be replaced. He just changed the defective rubber gaskets in all the sprinkler heads. Having a larger size home site the monthly irrigation charges dropped by nearly $50 per month after the repair.
