We are in zone 9a down here. I googled this and found:
Red dogwood (Cornus florida var. rubra) is a lovely flowering dogwood tree that produces red blooms in springtime. Its crimson berries are lovely and provide food for wild birds. I had a dogwood tree in my west facing front yard in The Villages. It did very well for years, but a wind storm broke it off about 3 feet above the ground.

It is a beautiful tree but do not remember having berries on it.
Grew very nicely when we lived in Va. |
