Default Holy Spirit 3 Day Miracle Prayer

My wife and I endured a 5-1/2 year legal situation with no end in sight. After saying this prayer to the Holy Spirit for 3 days yesterday this debacle came to a close...finally!

HOLY SPIRIT 3 DAY MIRACLE PRAYER
Pray this prayer daily for 3 consecutive days. Your prayer will be answered after the third day. In making your request promise to publish this prayer (share in writing on the internet or distribute this prayer to others):

Holy Spirit, You who make me see everything and show me the way to reach my ideals, You who give me the divine gift to forgive all the wrong that is done to me and You who are in all instances in my life, I want to thank You for everything and confirm with you once more I never want to be separated from You no matter how great the material desire may be. I want to be with you and my loved ones in your perpetual Glory. Amen. <Make request>

A chain letter? Really? You didn't think to pray for the first 5 years?

My upbringing does not allow for asking for one’s self. Only for others, but have to wonder why you waited 5 years to improve legal outcome. I get asking for cure for cancer, or shrink inoperable tumor, or ask that the end comes quickly and with less pain.

But legal outcome is different

Pray all the time. Never seems to make a difference. Maybe God's plan for the universe doesn't allow for making changes for whining humans. Or, God just doesn't like me.
Whatever.

Nice post. The next-to-last sentence really resonated with me--"ask that the end comes quickly and with less pain"--my dad was in hospice recently & that was his / our prayer, & it was answered perfectly! Miss dad but so glad that the last chapter of his life was a short one.

Would be very interested to hear more about your upbringing / religion, but I guess I can always google it...aligns most with Buddhism I'm guessing.
