Default Free 30 minute golf lesson

Hi everyone. As I have stated before, I am taking golf lessons with Stephen Wresh at Continental Country Club. He has informed me that he will be holding a FREE clinic on Friday, January 18th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm "How To Hit My Driver Longer and Straighter" . This clinic is free to everyone. He is also giving FREE 30 minute golf lessons to New Customers on Friday, January 18th and Saturday, January 19th. If you wish to attend this free clinic and have a 30 minute free golf lesson with Steve, please RSVP at 352-267-4707. Please look for an ad in this Sundays (1/6) The Daily Sun for more info.

I have no dog in this fight. I am just one of Steve's very happy customers and can't say enough good about him. I never thought I would be able to play golf and now I can, so I'm grateful for having such a patient and skilled instructor. Continental Country Club is only about 10 minutes away from The Villages!!

So sounds like your lessons are working out and you are enjoying this new sport. Glad to hear it. I just started when we arrived in June, took some lessons, and love going out with the the hubby, the girls, or the neighborhood to golf outings. Everyday is different!

Default Really like golf

People on tv make golf look so easy but when you do it yourself it's hard! I greatly enjoy the challenge and am working to hopefully playing a few times a week. I think it will be a great sport to play with the ladies or with my husband. So glad I took my lessons. I will continue with them to help improve my game.

I have been golfing for more than 40 years and every once in awhile I think I can play golf.

It is an elusive skill to be sure.

Thanks Gracie. I was thinking the same thing but you said it better than I thunk it.

I'm pretty new to golf, so I may be there on the 18th. Only two things keep me from being a better golfer, skill and ability.

Dear Wooz.....you could greatly improve your skill and ability taking a free 30 minute lesson. Nothing to lose, just 30 minutes of fun and a chance to meet a great pro golf instructor ! The lesson really is free!!! Just call the number I posted and sign up! Tell Steve that Kathy sent you and have fun.

Hi Kathy...thanks for the golf info. My husband & I have been tossing around the idea of learning the game. I will give Steve a call and set up a time. Does anyone in TV offer a free lesson or do you know the cost of lessons.
Thanks,
Janet & Carl

There is an introduction to golf presented at some regional rec centers, Colony comes to mind and it is very important, probably MORE important than a "golf lesson" to learn the rules of golf and the etiquette of golf and how to keep the pace of play.

You will then be able to play golf with anyone you are paired with comfortably and not irritate anyone or slow down the course.

Someone can tell you where but it is probably the most important information you can absorb if you are contemplating the game.

This is my first post but I have been reading this forum for quite some time.

I would like to stress the importance of the post above that strongly suggests "Intro to Golf". It is equally important to not only learn the etiquette of golf but also to spend the required amount of time on the range. One should be learned enough so as to not embarrass him/herself or their playing partners. It is unfair to those you're playing with and ALL of those behind you, on the course, if you do not know "the rules of golf". Mango 47

Hi Happinow,
So I called Steve today and Carl & I will be attending his Golf Clinic on Friday, January 18th. Steve suggested we attend that session first and then decide if we would like a free lesson with him. I told Steve, Kathy suggested I call. He told me you had a lesson today. Steve sounds very nice over the phone. Thanks for your suggestion. I will let you know the outcome.

Hi Janet and Carl. Glad you called Steve. At least you can meet him and, as he said, see if you would like the golf lesson. He is super nice and I'll bet you will want to be one of his students. We just signed up for more lessons today. We have so much fun and learn a ton. Couldn't golf without him. Please let me know how it goes. He said he had had a great response to his ad and from TOTV.

Actually, Steve will teach you the etiquette of golf with your lessons if you choose to take lesson with him. Otherwise, there are also booklets out and courses at rec centers, as I'm told. Our goal is to have fun with the game and not to get too stressed out about it. We don't want anyone getting their feathers ruffled when golfing before us, with us or behind us. We are doing this sport for fun and to meet people with our golfing ability and level. It never hurts to make new friends either!!!

Fireboy and I both had a free private golf lesson today! Stephen is great, and we plan to take more lessons. I want to thank Happinow for her thread.
