I like Matt Allums. I like Chattahoochee River Rock. We had it installed 4 years ago on the lanai, on the concrete walk along the side of the CYV, on the front porch and on the floor of the garage. We had the sidewalk and lanai resealed (they are in full sun) by Matt after about 3-1/2 years. The porch and garage did not need it. I especially like having it in a garage. Matt is a good guy. ![]() |

Send a PM to Uptown Girl. She has it on lanai, and I know she likes it.

Does anyone have Chattahoochee River Rock for flooring in your Lani?
I am interested on your comments as to the look, duribilty, strength and overall performance on this surface. I was given the name of a contractor, Matt, that was recommended from a friend of a friend. Has anyone that has this product used Matt, and what is your take on him? After about 2-1/2 years, it began to lose some of it's sparkle. It did not look bad, but I thought it was a good idea to have it resealed. it's a pretty large area- the cost was $125. We have, on a few occasions, had small patches of the white, hazy look you are describing. Sometimes, when the rains are heavy and the ground is too saturated for water to drain away, water collects in a small area for awhile. When the water drains away, mineral salts are left behind in that area- like mineral spots on your glassware. Although they do not flush away using a hose, I have wiped these away easily- using a microfiber cloth saturated in a basin of vinegar water. No harder than wiping off a countertop. I pour plain water over it afterwards (to rinse the vinegar away) I have needed to do that twice so far on our walkway. Took just a few minutes…. there were only a few areas along the edge- where the walk borders a long planting bed. (this bed floods in heavy rain) I keep some fairly large planter pots in our birdcage and rotate their location occasionally. I noticed a spot beneath one where minerals from fertilizer had drained. It too, WAS white and hazy. The vinegar treatment removed it- with no loss to the luster of the clear coat on the Chattahoochee rock beneath it. |

Please don't do anything outside in the sun with this. The sealer turns white and hazy, refreshed only by resealing....every 6 months. Gets too expensive. Looks great in lanais but will get milky also with the irrigation water that comes on it if your lanai is open.

He did our lanai and outside concrete pad and we were very happy. |

Please forgive me for bringing this up again, but I have had a" senior moment" and don't know where I wrote down the guy's name that installs this resin flooring. Any help please? Thanks.
