This is where a surgical strike needs to be performed.
Or, for those wanting to defund/abolish Police Departments, send in social workers.

Better idea, let's send in the people who want to abolish the police and let them handle the situation. Show us how it is done. Boy my old mind isn't thinking right, those folks have a physical ailment that won't allow them to do it, a big yellow streak down their back.

I’m happy they started a new country in Seattle. Now let New York and California be separate countries too with no voting rights in the USA and no welfare.

Hopefully they put an end to this very quickly without any negotiating other than to tell them to lay down their guns and come out or they will be taken away by force.

My biggest fear?
There is too much of a propensity to not rock the boat and those in authority will cave to demands to avoid any action that has potential violence. I do hope to be proven wrong! |

All law enforcement agencies in many cities (mostly lib....) have no respect from their government and consequently feel threatened every time they are called out. Who wants to be cursed, have rocks or bags of urine thrown at you all day long? Disrespect should have an immediate and forceful reaction. Yes there are bad cops but in most cases follow their instructions and sort it out later. JMHO.

As usual, we hear from certain folks about how military violence...is the only answer.
Given the fact that we spend more than about the next 7 countries on this planet COMBINED on our military, it's no surprise of course there are those...that would want to use their biggest toy. Never mind that the root of the issue...is something else entirely. ![]() "When you love and are infatuated with hammers...everything looks like a nail." ![]() |

Allow residents and business owners to come out.
What an ignorant statement! You are forgetting the millions in personal / business property that will be lost. Every personal / business insurance policy has sections that describe 1. the insured's responsibility to protect their insured property 2. coverage during a riot or civil commotion. And.... CHAZ is not Fallujah I can guarantee that the war lords are building fortifications, picking high vantage points, occupying the sewers. Without the ability to use actual assault weapons (M4) and snipers with real bullets, re-taking the city will result in real American casualties. |

If this is allowed to continue you can bet your ass this isn't the only area it will happen in. How can any Mayor or Governor allow this to happen or continue? Give them an ultimatum and stick to it then do what needs to be done period.

"Military violence"?
Nobody has proposed "military violence". All that has to be done is to give any authority, National Guard, active duty military, State Police, local police, rules of engagement that are very simple.....when defending civilians at risk, their property or oneself, if a response become necessary ONLY respond in kind. Then how could it possibly be misconstrued as violence? |

And, the bickering begins.
BTW, my previous post was not intended to be a "personal insult". I was referring to the contents, not the poster. "Ignorant" may have been the wrong word, how about, unschooled, without knowledge, uninformed. How's that? |

The mayor has already defended the participants as conducting peaceful protesting. Hence validating their actions.
The chief of police and governor continue to be in la-la land. The caving in to the demands of a mob appears to be inevitable. |
