We recently purchased a home in the Villages and looking for a reputable water filtration company to install a whole house system. Pegasus Water Systems stopped by the house to sell their filtration system but Im not familiar with the system. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated. We do not want to live on bottled water.

Nova System installed by Bob Novak. Easy installation. Change three filters every 12 - 18 months depending on usage. Would highly recommend.

Nova water systems. Including a water softener are the best investments in both homes we've owned in The Villages.

I’m not very knowledgeable about the water quality in the Villages. We bought last June in the very northernmost section and are part-time residents. Just wondering about the water quality and why people are putting in whole house water filtration. What are the problems that are corrected with the whole house filtration? Thanks in advance.

The smell and taste is what I have a problem with, we will be installing nova this fall. Right now I use bottled water for coffee and cpap.

Calcium is plentiful in our water. Causes buildup on fixtures, and is a cause of kidney stones. I also don’t think our water is near as the water up north. A water softener would be nice, but imho is not needed.

NOVA. I can't stand the smell and taste of city water. Also the water had sediment that kept stopping up my Pure Wash system. Now perfect.

Install your own system by connecting up at the whole house water shutoff valve in the garage. It will cost much much less and be just as effective. If you do not have the skills or time, hire a handyman. Shouldn't take more than a hour or so.

Go with Nova, they are priced well below the competition and it does an excellent job. They have dozens of references on here. We didn't hesitate in buying their systems and the change was noticed almost immediately. Our water is great now and with the two of us we only use one bag of pellets every 7 or 8 weeks. We use Potassium Chloride rather than the salt pellets.

Do all of the water systems require bags of salt pellets, potassium chloride, etc.?

If you have any kind of dry skin problems, go with the nova plus the water softener. I think the fact that they are now offering water softening along with water filtration (they used to claim the softener was not needed) is telling. I think they now have a good product with the filtration combined with the softener.
