I Live on a Golf Course... Can’t have Glass windows...”PING”
Yes...We get hit sometimes...so no to Glass My Acrylic Windows in peak of lanai need replacing (foggy) Any Recommendations of Contractor/Company ? Thanks |

You may want to look at Lexan, 25 times stronger than glass. Depending on your installation, you could have this cut to size (lowes and home depot) for a DIY project. If you are not interested in DIY, check with GE (I think make lexan) for outdoor suitability and if your installer will use it. This stuff is so strong, that back up North when I replaced a few windows with it I had to notify the Fire Department because they could not break these with conventional tools.

Be careful here. To replace acrylic (I.E. vinyl) with a solid window will probably require meeting Florida hurricane codes. Not easy to do on lanais and could be very expensive. As I found out. Make sure you get proper permits.

If you are replacing acrylic with acrylic it will be a pretty easy process. It will require permitting but that’s pretty reasonable.
