Where can I take my car for a simple oil change without being told I need some repair to my car?

Hutson Automotive Repair on 441 in Fruitland Park next to Stavros Pizza. They've been in business for more than 30 years and they don't "upsell". You don't need an appt. but they do oil changes only between 8:00 am and 9:00 am so it doesn't interfere with their other auto repair work.

I was there once, won't go back. I drove up and asked specifically how much it would cost for an oil change for the car I drove up in. I was quoted a price, which yes, included a free car wash, which I did'nt realy need, but ok...

When the work was finished, the bill came to much more. When I asked why, I was told the price quoted was for up to 5 quarts of oil and my car took 6.25 quarts. They charged me for 2 extra quarts of synthetic oil. I feel they should either have honored their quote, or told me about it when they brought the car into the shop to start teh work, not when they were done.

For those of you who shop at Walmart, their oil change prices are reasonable and I have never had an issues with up selling or work not done right. You can even go inside and choose your own oil and filter..

The Goodyear next to Home Depot is a master at "up selling." They'll find something else to do from changing your power steering fluid because it's dirty to a cabin filter. Of course you can always say "no".

Wildwood tire is the best. For standard oil (not synthetic) they get about $30.00. No up selling unless you ask for additional items to be checked. All certified mechanics.

Have been using Michael's exclusively since we moved here full time last year, and am completely satisfied with the service.

Sumtner Tire & Auto is THE BEST!!!!
NO UPSELLING & the last time I was there (1 yr.ago) it cost me $24.00 incl. tax. Not a pretty or fancy place BUT they do an excellent job.
Located on Hwy. 301 about 2 blks . north of 466A on the EAST side of the street.

I have used the Villages Car Wash for years and found them to be nothing but professional.
